DISTRICT AWARDS COORDINATOR (DAC)

A District Awards Coordinator is appointed by the District Commodore (DCO). Upon appointment, the DAC will work the D7 Awards Writing Team to coordinate the writing and processing of awards. The DAC will be responsible for tracking the processing and data entry of all Auxiliarist awards.

All requests to the District Awards Writing Team will go to the DAC. The DAC will then assign the request to an awards writer. When completed, the awards writer will return the written award to the DAC, who will continue to track and forward the award to the appropriate members. The DAC will receive a copy of all Auxiliary Awards approved by the District Commodore (DCO) along with all awards generated by the Active Duty.

The DAC will enter the award information onto a spreadsheet and track the progress of the award all the way to the award’s presentation. The DAC will also track and ensure the awards are properly entered into AUXDATA.

Must be proficient in the use of Excel spreadsheets and detail oriented. Must also be able to work with Sector AuxLo’s and maintain records of all awards throughout the entire process from receiving the request until entry into AuxData.
